Hey! Welcome to Classics Revisited.

When I was much younger, I developed a friendship with a highly successful Italian entrepreneur.

At my young age, I saw him as a modern-day version of a Renaissance Man. He came from modest circumstances to become one of Italy's most successful industrialists. He was knowledgeable about art, architecture, literature, and had the flamboyancy of an Italian opera star. Late at night at a street bar in Milan, he shared his thoughts on life, love, purpose, and happiness.

Among the things, he told me:

“Time is our most valuable asset. We cannot create it or replace it. Never waste it. Never read a book written in the last 50 years; if its wisdom did not last that long, it was not worth reading.”

In this section I will share with you, and I ask you to share with me, literature that celebrates life, and the wisdom of which has lasted over 50 years.
